G/F has em on her Jetta GLI. They don't even grip on that car...

FWD can offset things. A freaking Honda can spin a tire up front.

Have you tried a search? I typed in "Nexen" under an advanced search in just this section of the forum and found quite a few threads about these tires...

Are you just being lazy, or are you still looking for more opinions?

Actually, I was referring to grip on twisties and turns, which the GLI is set up pretty well to do from the factory with the GS-D3's. The Nexens don't grip. Period.

I read all of them, not trying to be an *** or anything but i know where the search button is. There wasn't very useful info. in them and not many people use them cuz they are an underground tire at the moment and a lot of those threads are kinda old.

I know this is a little dated but WTF!!! These tires grab and grab hard! They are exactly what you want/need if you're on the street and want some performance to actually hit the ground. At the strip? Switch 'em obviously. I have 275/40zr17 's and wow!!! Nice tread pattern and great out of the dig. Some guys just like sayin' **** without tryin' them. I'm runnin' them on my hawk and they put a LOT of other tires to shame. Period.

Thanks for your delightfully subjective opinion. I'm just not seeing how a tire that grabs and grabs hard on the street would need to be switched out at the track

That time of the month? Both your posts have been pretty negative, perhaps you should start your own thread to bash people in?

They grab very well. They do however have a soft sidewall so they don't seem to feel very planted in the curves. But they hook better than most IMO.

I sold many, many and never thought they were too bad for their cost. I wouldn't take them to competition or anything, but they grip decently. Put them on a friends 99 Z28 T56 car and they did a admirable but far from great. Sidewalls were a little soft as stated but no more than the Exclaims from General which is a pretty good tire. Not too bad from Nexen, not bad at all.
