Default chrome vs polished input wanted

Alright so heres the deal, im trying to decide whether to go with TT 2's because i really like the lip, and center caps i just dont like how id have to polish them all the time. or go with chrome TT m's because they're low maintenance and chrome i just dont like how wide the spokes are but somthing id be willing to deal with it just wanted some opinions..

In a nutshell...

Polished wheels spot/stain when it rains
Chrome wheels almost always peel over time but clean easily

That being said, I own 2 full sets of polished wheels for my car...
15x3.5 & 15x10 Weld ProStars and 17x9.5 ZR1's...

Both clean up rather easily and look great when polished up.

I have had both. Like stated above, my chrome wheels flaked. I have polished wheels, brake calipers and underhood pieces , but I dont mind the upkeep. I usually gover it once every 2 weeks or so and it stays fine. Use a good sealer on polished aluminum really helps. I use Master Formula Metalgloss and sealer.

I only polish my wheels about once a month. Takes about 30 minutes but it isn't hard. Just use a quality polish like Master Formula mentioned above and it will be effortless.

i hated the cleaning effort it took to take care of my TT2's and even after 30+ minutes on each wheel they still dont look as good as chrome...TT2's in chrome would be the best thing EVER!...

i have triple plated chrome 18 inch Z06's befor the TT2's and they could be dirt as hell and still only took like 2 minutes with a dry cloth to clean

Polished look great ONLY when they are clear coated, or the will spec and tarnish. When they do it requires a tone of polish and elbow grease. I still prefer chrome though.

I think you should go with polish... chorme rims shine pretty good but on the long run they will peel ... and with the polish rims you can always polish them up and they will always look like NEW!!!

Chrome
Good Points; Very Shiny, easier to maintain
Bad Points; Almost always deteriorate and flake, if scuffed or scratched only way to repair is re-chroming...which is costly

Polished Aluminum
Good Points; Easy to repair, if scuffed it just takes some elbow grease
Bad Points; Not quite as glossy of a look but in some cases i prefer the look of polished over the same wheels chromed (all opinions though). More work to maintain i think most people exaggerate the work involved in keeping polished wheels looking good but there is more involved, i polish mine about once a month or about every other wash job just depends on how they look.

I've had chrome wheels and polished and i much prefer the polished, yea its a bit more work but its in my hands, if the chrome wheels get damaged its expensive to repair. Polished all you need is a bit of sanding and polishing to look as good as new.

Keep In Mind That If You Curb Rash Them, Which You Most Likely Will, You Can Repair Polished Wheels Yourself. You Wont Have To Send The Out To Get Repaired And Re Chromed.$$$$$$$$$$$$$$
