Default 315/17 BFG radials vs 315/17 MTs

Alright, I've got 315 BFGs on my car now and at the track my car just destroys the BFGs, i cant launch it with anything resembling boost. I've heard the mickeys hook way better so i'm going to be switching to those.

I never BFH modded my inner fenders, just took it easy around corners. But do the mickeys rub more/less than the BFG? Panhard rod+bfh should help this right?

Any input would be appreciated, thanks.

I use to run 315/35-17 BFG w/ ARTT2 17x11 on my camaro. A little bfh inside wheelwell was the only thing was done. The MT should be about the same overall width/height as the BFG. And yes, to me the MT's have a much softer/stickier compound, but will not last as long.

MonochromesSS, as you know Mundelein is not a big town and you will not see my medium patriot red metalic around that much since its garage kept most of the time(more track oriented). And if you did, you'll definitely hear it comming.--1994 LT1 z28--

You will have to go with the ET Streets if you want the Mickey Thompsons. They have yet to release their new drag radials in 315/35/17

I was referring to this drag radial not available in a 315/35/17 until spring of 08 or later, directly from the mouth of their sales group

What I have is the same tire but in a different tread pattern but they are both M/T ET Street radials and have the same compound.

Those have a treadwear of 200 and the one I pictured has a treadwear of 040, not the same compound. I am thinking of putting a set of those you pictured on the front of my car so I will have a matched brand of tire, they look good too but definately not near as sticky as the other.
