BFG Drag Radial
When you guys are talking about the BFG's...is this the one's you mean? http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....FA+Drag+Radial
Will they hook with a stall and about 400rwhp?

Yep, that's them. Only they have a strip in the middle that's slick, depending on how wide ya go. It's confusing because the KDW 2's are the tear-drop tread pattern and the D/R2 are not but, they have them in that tread pattern. It's all ***-backwards. I have both check my sig.

Buy the M/T Street Radial, they in my opinion are better than the bfg, how they hook depends on the size, the 17" isn't going to hook as good as the 15" sizes.
My friend has gone 8.30's@ over 160 mph on a 275 60 15, another guy I know has gone mid 7's on the 315 60 15, so they work pretty good.

275/35/18's are what i'm gonna get. So will i be able to get traction no problem with the BFGs? I don't plan on taking it to the track but once or twice. So I want em mounted on my 18's when I get them, so the 15" MT's aren't really an option. I've heard great things about those though.

Yes no problem. My cousins cammed ws6 is M6 and gets launched at 4k plus. And my buddys M6 has a 383 stroker and they get him to hook up as well. If you dont burn them up they can last you awhile. So dont do burnouts unless your racing. Good luck.

Im not sure if I would recomend him the nittos. I have them on a stock stall bolt on car and they have trouble hooking, I havent heated them up before I launch though. If this wasnt my DD I would have gotten the bfg's. Personally I say say if it is a DD go with nittos if not: BFG, M/T

wow how convenient ur from omaha too!! I know ur asking specifically about BFG but have u tried the nitto555R. I bought a set and im more than impressed with them and would hold ur stall just fine. They are like brand new yet only a couple of passes. If ur interested in different tires I'd let u try mine out to see what u think? let me know

Jeez are those like 305 or 315?
I was actually gonna go with the 555R from Nitto, but I've done a lot of research on that tire and since I'm hoping to hook with over 400RWHP they aren't for me. I've read and read on that tire and people on here just don't seem to be satisfied, and the BFGs are about the same price on discounttiredirect.com. Now the Nitto is better in the rain yes, but I only drive on nice days anyways unless I have to drive back home. So my car will not see rain. Thx for the offer though, I really appreciate it. I just don't think I will be able to hook according to the threads I've been reading using the search.

another vote for bfg's. I have mine on a pair of 16in rims that i use for the track. I dd on 18in zo6's and dr's for 18's are pricey imo and will wear out with all the driving. But as stated before if ur set on getting them in 18's go with nitto's man.

i have the nittos on a daily driver 305/30/18 love them for what i do had the bfg's before hook better but the rain scenario the 555r are much better not a bad tire if they get warmed up either. if you just drive in nice weather then the bfg's are good if looking for all around driving 555r.

I know a camaro that's s/c, he's got 275's (BFG's) on 18" z06s. I thought they looked pretty good. I've seen only a couple pictures of 17" z06s and they looked like they might be too small. I could be totally wrong, I'm not totally set in stone on 18's, I just want this thing to look perfect. I know they are way cheaper in 17's, believe me I've searched and searched. So why would the nittos be a better choice on 18's? Have you had both?
