Default c6 z06 wheels

For a 2000 black trans am ws6.
I am looking at chrome c6 z06 replica 18" all the way around with 10.5" width in the back (unless it comes wider). I would like to get a 315 street drag tire on the back. I believe it comes in 58mm offset?
My question is, will this be able to just put right on? rubbing issue? any modification necessary? Also, what is the wieght of these wheels? and would there be a difference in performance/traction when going from a 17" to a 18" wheel?
Thanks...

Generally a taller profile provides more traction for drag racing. That is why you see alot of 15's with tall profiles at the strip. A lower profile tire gives you better response and less sidewall roll for a better handling tire. Having said all that I don't think you will notice a difference from 17 to 18. I would go with wichever combo is lighter.

I wouldn't mind sticking with another 17" wheel but in my opinion the c6 z06 wheels look much better in 18". So if its not losing much traction from 17" I might as well.
So 10.5 in the back with a 315 tire should fit just fine? What do people usually run in the front, size wise?
Also, do you know the wieght of the wheels?

I have them in 18's all around with 9.5s in front and 11s in back. 315s go on easily after fender rolling and they're a 53mm offset.

Do you have a spacer?
And thats one thing I forgot, is it necessary to roll the fenders?

No spacer for mine... they bolt right on. I have 295s on the rears so I have yet to roll the fender, but when I go 315s I'll have to. No biggie, though, especially for what it looks like from the back!!

Thanks jjsnyprus but I am going to buy the c6 z06 wheels.
Yeah it looks awesome from the back, and any view imo!...I can't wait. So my plan is the 10.5 with 315 in the back, no spacer and then rolling the fenders. Just need to decide on tires now... hah
Thanks, and I can NOT wait for spring to come around and bring the car back out with the new look!

Do you have anymore pics of your SS? The hood more specifically? I am wanting to do the same thing with my scoop and need some pics to show them what I'm looking for
