Default Width difference 275BFG vs 315Nitto **pics**

This is the difference in a BFG KDW 275 vs Nitto 315 drag... not much really!

Wish I would have jumped on those $300 315 KD's on fleabay

Yeah, nittos are a narrow 315 compared to other DRs.

what about if you went with a nitto 335? It would still fit on the 11" rim right? I am looking into getting a set of 11" ZR-1's and am thinking about a nitto 335 but I don't know if it would fit in the wheelwell.

That is a nice comparison shot. For when people ask what tire is wider, and don't understand that all tire companies widths are different.

Does anyone know if the same size Nitto 555 are as narrow as the Nitto 555R tires?

I bought the 275 Bfgoodrich KD tires from that guy on ebay. Its a really wide tire and puts my Goodyears to shame. I could only imagine how wide a 315 Bfgoodrich KD tire is.

Got them mounted and balanced today. Its not a drastic difference like a KD 315 would be, but the Nittos are on 17x11's and the KDWs are on 9.5 so there is an obvious difference when looking at them. I'll put up some pictures after I get them on the car.

My question is, why? Why are they allowed to be called 315's??

Just to clarify, I am not recommending that anyone put a 315 Nitto on a x9 or x9.5 rim!

I just wanted to show how sometimes you cannot compare apples to apples. Just like a size L Hanes tshirt is nothing like an Abercrombie L.
