Yes, there are certain DR classes, but I'de venture to say the people who compete in those classes aren't on LS1tech asking if nitto, BFG, or MT are better. If you are going to go through the trouble of swapping your wheels/tires aleast go with something like an ET street.

Weird thing is. I talked to a guy that works for MT and he said the compound for the DR was softer than the ET street.. Didn't make any sense to me..

Ive got a set of 315/60/15's... cant wait to get them warmed up and down the track.
I've heard that you do have to be a bit carefull with suspension settings and pressure as to not shake the tires.

I don't know about that. They stick good for a 17" DR as long as the pavement isn't too cold. Last year I would dead hook in second with a 125 shot. As for tread life, well, that's a completely relative term, and not worth arguing. My 315 BFG drag radials are getting damn good tread life in my book for how well they're performing. As for Nitto's, I don't think very highly of them. The auto guys seem to be able to get them to hook decently, but I didn't have **** for luck with them in my 6 speed car.

I agree the Hoosiers are an awsome tire and hook like they have teeth in them! My son pulled a 1.48 60' in my 01 Z and all he said was OMG!!!!. They just really are not for the street though. The tread wear is next to nothing. They really should just be used at the track. That being said, I also vote for the Mickeys! They hook for me really well in my 02Z. But right now they are on back order(315's) till sometime this summer. Guess they had some issues with some testing and DOT. Sure hope they get this sorted out soon.
