Default 16" chrome 5 spokes vs. 17" painted 10 spokes

I have a real dilemma. My 2000 Sebring Silver Z28 came with the 16" chrome 5-spokes. The tires are going to need to be replaced soon. SLP is offering a killer deal on the 17" painted 10 spoke take-offs with or without Eagle F1's. I am looking for opinions on the ditching my chrome 16" 5 spokes for the 17" painted 10 spokes. I would also like to know what you all think about the Eagle F1's. I have read the reviews on TireRack and I can see most wouldn't buy them as replacement tires, but considering SLP's price what do you think? $499 for the wheels or $799 for the wheels and the F1's.

Chrome 17" wheels are out of the question due to cost.

Thanks in advance

I just got rid of my 16" chrome 5 spokes for 17x9.5/17x11 chrome ZR1's. A big jump but I almost went with the 10 spokes. Do it man you get good money for your chrome wheels and just pay the difference if there is any.

The F1s aren't that great but they're not the worst either...and for only $300.00 more you can't beat the price.

check for the 5-spoke chrome from AFS on ebay... they often sell brand new wheels there... might get a good deal, who knows ?!?

I am in the minority, but I don't like anything over 16's.
17's ride rough, harder to turn, jump all over the road

Thanks for all your input. I came across a couple of sites that really convinced me to take the plunge. The painted SS 10 spokes look just right to me on a silver Z. Take a look for yourself

and

I ordered the painted 10 spoke take-offs w/Eagle F1's mounted from SLP. While I could have sprung for more, at almost twice the price it was hard for me to justify. Can't wait to get these and put them on.
