I am about to order my rims and tires. I am going to be ordering Weld Prostars 15x3 with 1.75" backspacing with MT sportman 26x7.5-15's for the front. For the rear i am ordering 15x10 with 7.5" backspacing with MT E.T. streets 28x11.5-15's. Now my question is will the 28x11.5's fit or do i have to modify some things in the rear to get them to fit? I know i need a spacer for the front, new studs all the way around and grind the rear calipers to fit the welds. What else do i need to do to get them to fit or should i go with a different size tire? I wanted to go with the 26x11.5 but they are on back order where i am ordering everything.

I had to trim away some of the bumper cover on the inner edge to get my M/T 28" Et streets to fit. You won't see really notice it from the side if you do it right. If I remember I'll try to post up a pic of where I did my trimming.

I have the MT Et streets in 28x11.50- 16's. They should both be very similar in dimensions. As far as using a hammer to pound anything in , IDK? I already used a hammer to make my 18'' Z06 wheels fit without rubbing, plus a spacer, so I couldn't tell you if it is necessary or not.

Any pictures? I always wondered how a 28" et street would look on 16s.

no i don't have any pictures.I guess I'll have to take some when I think of it. I mounted them on my z28 5 spoke wheels, they look okay I guess, not really my kinda style but it was cheaper than buying a set of 15'' welds. Eventually I want to get some welds or bogarts for the track.

I'm running 28/12.5/15 on Bogarts on my 2001 ws6. I was cruising to a gtg saturday, well I decided to floor it just because I dont go to the track enough and the closest one is 2 hr's away. well when I was reaching some where around 90/100 mph I looked up at rearview mirror and noticed blue smoke. checked gauges, all good. smelled rubber. once at the gtg I inspected tire and u can see where it was rubbing due to tire swelling. rubbing acuured on inside fender lip, fwd/aft. I wondering if these tires might be to big to run or maybe remove the spacer and grinde the calipers. I'm at work so when I get home I'll post some pics......anybody had/has or know of somebody who encountered this before and what was the fix to this? other then replacing tires.. I only have about 200 miles on these tires....
