The sponsor I got them from offered me like a $20 discount on my next pair... which ya know they are not to blame, these tires have had good success...

I don't know what M/T recommends, but that is what I have found out to have the most even wear when street driving and best traction at the track.

When tires are over inflated, they do not put optimal tire patch on the ground, it tends to "Bubble up" wearing down the center excessively. Also, when your only riding on a small (Center) portion of your tire, there is a greater load created on the part that is touching the ground. More weight per square inch of contact patch. More load = more heat, and heat could essentially wear tires quicker.

Thats just my opinion.

what psi were you running in the tires? I had a set do that to me last year, They were overinflated do to a falty tire pressure gauge. It would read 20 psi lower than it was. ex. ( if there was 40 lbs in the tire, the gauge would read 20) And my tires did the same thing those did. Very well could be just a bad batch, but that is Exactly what happened to me! I was pissed.

Like Ive said in my post above, I have had 2 sets of DRs that hooked awesome, and both looked like that, but they both lasted a LONG time.

That is normal for slicks and the new DR's.They are both made from the M5 compound. If you want a tire that will last buy a hard street tire.

Good luck on settling your issue man! I hope they come around and help you out. I was planning on getting some MTs when they come off of backorder. Maybe I'll get BFGs now.

I said the same thing... he responded (in another post) "I posted as many times as I needed to" or something of that nature...

He probably did a smoke show and is pissed that his tires are worthless now

I'll rule out the defective issue. Since your friend has purchased his set at the same time and his are apparantly fine (and he is running a spool which can be harder then a posi setup), they probably came from the same batch. So I don't think it would be a defect that you're considering. The chances that you happen to get two of the defective tires when you and your buddy purchased wheels...is small.

I would look elsewhere as possibly your driving habbits, road surface usage, tire pressure, rear-end not aligned with front wheels etc. Miles used does impact tire life, but importantly actual usage during those miles that were run. I think this is probably where the problem may lie.

Tires are consumables, they need replaced. I'd be more angry with the price of gas that it costs you to go those 800 future miles.

hmmm strange... mine never did that... had mine for over a year now... 100 or so track passes... 500 street miles... did u pump the air in them to the sky? that could of been the issue... i ran 16psi at the track and 28 - 30psi on the road

sorry guys... just pissed and trying to post it so multiple people saw it!

SJM my buddy has 275/60/15 tires... So I would highly doubt they came from the same batch... Although he did buy them at the same time as me!

I've seen many sets do that, right from the time they are new.

I think 35 psi might be too much air in them. I run mine 28-30 psi & have a ton of passes & street miles on them & they don't shred like that.

I've had sets do that also and usually they don't hook nearly as good when they are like that!

Never have I had them go that fast thought, especially just leaving black marks driving down the road. How hot is it there currently? Highway driving in the summer seemed to make my tires look like that most of the time.
