Default got some wheels, need tires!!

ok, so i have 17 x 9.5 and 17 x 11 ZR1s
so i need some tires, i want 315/35/17 in the rear and 245/45/17 in the front, does anyone have any tire suggestions, and if so can you provide a link?

i would prefer for my tires (although diff. sizes) to look similar and be the same brand.

TIA guys!

front tires are 275/40/17
rears tires are 315/35/17

Goodyear Eagle F1's. They dont rub, but they are close (about 1/2")

sumo htrz are good for the price. It really depends on how slick the roads are where you live. When i lived in new mexico the roads were kinda slick and i couldnt get them to grip on dry pavement worth **** and i wont even go into how dangerous they were on wet pavement. Now where im at now they grip just fine its hard to break them loose.

if you're referring to the Goodyear GS-D3's, then yes, they are one of the highest-rated tires on tirerack.com for both wet & dry handling.

i can attest to the dry handling, because i have the same tires (except 275/40-17 on all 4 corners), but haven't had a chance to really test them in the rain yet.

they also ride really smooth & quiet, at least when brand new.....i'll have to wait & see how they fare once they get some miles on them.

the main downside to them is the price....they are expensive tires....in fact, if they don't last at least as long as my last tires (Cooper Zeon 2XS), i'll probably get another set of the Coopers....they're a LOT cheaper than the GS-D3's are, and were a really good set of tires....great wet & dry handling, good tire wear, and also a pretty quiet & smooth tire until they got down to the cords showing....then they got kinda noisy & rough....

I'd highly recommend a 275/40ZR17 for the front . . . the size you ask about will be too skinny for the wheel.

I was going to say the same thing. It will work, but a 275 will fit the wheel better and give you better handling.

The stock size is 8', not 8.5, the wheel is 1 inch wider, which is 25.4mm, so add that to a 245mm tire (not worrying about sidewall at this time) and you need at least a 270.4mm tire to fit.

i mistyped that sorry, but i happen to know a c4 vette that has a 17 x 9.5 zr1 on the front with a 245 tire, and no problems.
so i figured it would be ok
