Default Anyone have Black Ruff Racing 280 wheels?

I know after seeing this and that Tom is doing a special on these a few of you will probably make a purchase. I know I would even without seeing pictures of them on another car, but I don't have the money right now. So anyways, is anyone running these??

Good luck getting them. When I called Ruff Racing about 6 months ago they were discontinued.

They look good, but are too thin IMO.

agreed! Thats the only thing that keeps me from buying from companies like Ruff Racing and HP Racing! If they were smart the would offer a 10.5 or 11 width they would prob get twice the amount of business from fbody and vette guys.

you can always spend the extra few hundred and have them widened.

You'd prob end up spending ~2-250 to widen each wheel and then have to buy spacers. Not worth it IMO.

^yes. but Tom is offering these at only like six and a half hundred. so let's say $1100 if you have the backs widened for the set. that's just a little more than torque thrusts, ZR1's, OEM's, and they wouldn't be the $2000+ wheels. there probably wouldn't be anyone else around running that setup.

Those wheels aren't made for the Vette and F-Body guys.

They're made for BMWs, they just happen to fit these cars as well. When was the last time you saw a 3 series with 19x11s in the back?

I personally wouldnt want 8.5s in the front either. So Im not sure how much a 18x9.5 all the way around set would cost. Either way. Even 1200 isnt worth it, but thats JMHO.

I agree with ya'll about them being too thin. They're good looking wheels but I think they look "more at home" on a BMW...like ZFSix said.

Looking at the lip I would say he either has 19x9.5 rear and 18x9.5 front or 18x9.5 on all four corners....the 9x5 is hard to find the right offset in the front also...have to get lucky and find them.

18x9.5 on all four corners (backspace/offset45)
