Best street tires?
I currently have some kumho 245/50/16's on the back and really they don't like to stick the road for anything. I was wondering what kind of tire I would need to get exceptional traction and still not have to replace them every few thousand miles (exaggeration). My car is my daily driver so I need something that will perform well in the rain as well as on dry asphalt.

I had kdws and they sucked. Traction was as poor as the factory Goodyear RSA's and they didn't last 20K. They also grabbed all the grooves in the road. I now have Gforce Sports and they a lot better so far. They track really good.

Same experience but with 255/40/17 Kumhos. I swapped my Toyos from the other car and the standing start traction difference was dramatic. Speaking from limited experience, I wouldn't hesitate to buy another set of Toyo tires.

Well im not really strapped for cash or anything and if the tire is worth it I am willing to spend some money. I was thinking of going with either the bridgestone or goodyear. We don't really get much ice and snow here, but in the rain and such i don't want it to slide everywhere.

What about Michelin Pilot Sports?? I love them- and they have worn very nicely - about 10k miles on them- and are down to the wear marks.. 295x35x18 - about 430 a piece..

There sure are alot of tires out there lol. I think that each one may have it's ups and downs just like everything else. I just want a good street tire that will be give me enough grab from a dig.
