Default Help > Anyone know who Powder Coats wheels?

I have a set of those common silver 17 x 9.5" Camaro SS (ZR-1 style) wheels.

The silver powder coat that is on them is looking dull and has no sparkle to it.

I guess these companies that fix damaged aluminum wheels would certainly be powder coating the wheels that leave there shop.

Anyone know of a good company that would give a [fair] price for a nice new "sparkling" silver powder coat job on these wheels of mine?

I don't even care if they do not retain the narrow polished (non-powder coated) edge that goes around the outside of the wheel.

Thanks,
Ron

Ron,

Most of the powdercoating shops I've talked to can do rims.

Ron, you could pick up a set of new silver SS wheels off of ebay for about $450-500 a set. Get the AFS brand ones, they sell a ton of them. I got my black Grand Sports for $600/set.

After you spend money shipping those things to get coated, paying for the coating, etc.. you will probably end up spending the same amount. Most places charge $50-75 per wheel to powdercoat. Shipping on each of your wheels will be about $20.

Right on AFS has a store on ebay and prices are really good.Would probably be cheaper just to get new ones after the shipping and all!!
