My new one of a kind Weld wheels

the reason it touches on some and not others is cause of brake pad thickness. the newer the pads the more the touching.
Designing the wheel isn't the issue. Its designing a 15" wheel to fit over a car that was designed to run 16" wheels. Bigger calipers and rotors. even for the fronts when they are Bigger from the start. if we do a 3pc front we could make it fit correctly, But the pricing will be alot more expensive for a street wheel. The other Big issue is the Offset.

If there were any danger of a caliper coming off then we would not be involved. Rampant if you are a designer and you were faced with fitting a 15" diameter wheel over the wide vaiance in GM brake and mounting castings, you would probably just say it couldn't be done, but because the market is fixed on 15" diameter drag rubber, several manufacturers have tried to satisfy the demand for these products. if you can do this then I urge you to try, we gave it our best shot, and like I have said, with some calipers it doesn't touch at all, but some it does, very light contact, but still contact.
Here is a picture of the bracket, the small amount of clearancing needed could probably be accomplished with a flat file in about 5 minutes.

My 4 year old Centline Convo pros fit fine and are a 15x8.0 out back and a 15x3.5 in front. No grinding and have had at least 3 set of Carbotech pads and never left a mark on the rims. Lots of dust though.
Like I said, Billet Specialties did manage a rear rim, but dropped the ball on the fronts. Now these like the Greg Welds only fit the front and not the rear without mods. I love the look of all 3 mentioned rims, and really like the looks of yours, but some one is going to have get this thing figured out yet. Bogarts fit, but do not offer me the streetability I want.
I am just looking for a new look and not to hack up my calipers
I would also be very happy with a 17" front skinny and a 16" x 10" rear

CRules, we focused our development on ls1, I can't say that we fitted it to an lt1. These guys on this board are the words experts on whether it will clear an lt1, (I guess we thought it would since the contact on some of the ls1's was very slight.)

thanks jjordan. the reason i asked was because LT1s have the same backspacing as an LS1 but have smaller calipers. i was thinking if they barely don't fit an ls1 without grinding they will fit an lt1 fine. that would be good new for the ltx community and may help to sell some more wheels.
