Here's some pics.

And see this pic? I mean, it could have been designed a bit better where I couldn't see the wires underneath all that, but hey, it works.

The other thing is, depending on what the diameter your tweeter is, it might be too big for it to fit.

The front components I have in my car are the Infinity Kappa Perfects 6.0, rated @150w rms, the tweeters are about 1" across, small but **** they pack a punch.
The Infinity midrange that came with the tweeters, well, basically IMHO they're meh, they don't give substantial midrange unless you REALLY pound on them volume-wise and end up blowing them up.

The Infinity Kappa Perfect tweeters can handle more wattage than their mated midrange speakers.

So anyway, if the tweeters are more than 1.5" across they won't fit in the tweeter pods, too big...maybe even the 1.5" miiiiiight be too wide as well, but I don't really know for sure.

I have a pair I bought on here...and my tweeters are just a little bigger than them so I've been very reluctant to even try to install them...I'd need to use the hole saw to fit the tweeter, then some filler to make the pod look good again...not worth it to me...so they're brand new, don't even have holes in them cut for tweeters, send me a PM if you want to buy them.

It bugs me the most because there's plenty of room for my tweeters...just not in the pods I got.

so anything new with these, preferably pics, i have a set of tweeter pods in the car right now that pretty much suck, and i am hoping these will be a good way to replace them. Need something on the inside to compliment the splitter on the outside

that and some sort of rear difuser still

No pics just yet but tentative pricing is $110 shipped for fiberglass and $210 shipped for Carbon Fiber.

Wish it could be cheaper but it takes work to get a NICE and actually MOUNTABLE set to you, unlike some of the other stuff... Right Carlos ?

I bought Carlos' old ones back in the day after the mounts (that didn't work anyways) snapped off

What diameter tweeters will these hold? I've got some DLS Iridium tweets that are pretty substantial.

For others, tweeter placement is not simple. If you run active with time alignment, you can make lots of places sound good. Generally, the closer to the mid it is, the more natural it sounds with less tuning needed. However, new tahoes and escalades have a pillar tweets and LOTS of cars have back of the mirror pods. I have mine at the front of the door handle, near the AC deflector. I have used kicks and they sounded best but legs get in the way with passengers. Tweeter placement and tuning will pay off if you spend the time. A quality pod like this is awesome for those trying to not make our interiors look worse than GM did. Damn TA owners and their tweeter panels...

Yup, the face is 2" so you can mount up to a 2" tweeter...

"mark,

got the tweeter pods started, I wasted about half the day when I decided to double check and make sure they would work with the majority of tweeters and realized they were about half an inch to shallow. I've cut parts for three pairs and I'll glass them up this week. According to the specs on crutchfield they should fit 85% of the tweeters out there.

Just a general update.

Jason"

Awesome news!! I'm excited to see how they turn out! I'm assuming these are already spoken for, or have cars to test the fitment for you? If not I might be interested in helping you out with that!!

I'll buy them if a 1.78" (deep) tweeter can work. The e9.65i set is what I'm currently using.

Would the texture match the rest of my ebony interior? It would be amazing if it looked stock and matched the a-pillars/etc.

I would buy these on the first of the month I'd love some pictures first though
