Default Custom amp racks, post up pics!!! ... couldn't find a thread

Tried searching and I feel stupid now. Results give me everything BUT the words I used "Custom Amp rack" ... I'm trying to set up my car with 2 amps i have lying around and I don't wanna mess up the functionality of the t-top holders or the trunk space. So I'll be doing a stealth box setup and the amps possibly mounted on the hump or the rear wall. Post up pics of your setups please, trying to do this as simple as possible.

Thumbs up

This might help.

I also have a amp mounted in the spair tire well;right below the right side sub port.

And if you amp isn't too big you can use the factory amp mount as a templete to make a larger mount board to mount your amp to.

Yeah, I cut out the other side, but I don't have the stealth boxes any more.
Now I have a well box with 1.6 cu.ft. for each subwoofer, each with an external aero port @ 29hz.

Correct , heres a quick cut and paste

i cut and desined a 6mm of wood sheet to be put in the spare tyre space

the AB Class amp will be facing the outside and the D Class amp will facing inside (when it comes)

it will put in just like this

each amp an a side

they will be going in the spare tyre space.

nice. so is it just an exact cut? you didnt screw the board in or fasten it in any way? this is probably how i will mount my laptop/5 channel amp this summer. thanks for help.

also, this seems to be the only way to truly not cut down any trunk space, and if you use your car on move in/out day for college you'll know you need every last bit lol.

put a bolt on the wooden plate then used clothes hanger wire to mount the wooden bolt wire the rear light bolt.

btw remove the monsoon amp to get more space.

Subthump.com makes a really good sub enclosure where you can still store your t-tops, YO-EL's got a badass rack in his

Great pics, I need to do something with mine to look cleaner. Right now I just threw in everything that I already had to get something in there, but now I'm tired of looking at it and want to start on something this weekend.

I'm planning on building an amp rack like above and a stealth box for my alpine 12" type E, anyone have any build specs for a stealth 12" box? I'm looking for a sealed box to keep it simple

Heres what I have right now, I know its not pretty, but its better than not having anything at all.....

Here's my old set up, I made the amp rack extend to the bottom because at one time I was using a much bigger amp along the dual stealth boxes. It's all back to stock now and transferred to my daily driver. I made the amp rack out of Birch plywood, I really didn't want to spend the money on a subthump rack made out of weak MDF.

Sorry to thread hijack but YO-EL are those two PDX 1000's? That is one sick setup, what are you running those amps to?

Back on topic, here's my setup. The only complaint is not being able to use the trunk. But I knew that would happen going into it. I also have blue led's underneath the top panel that light up the arc audio badge in the middle and the lips along the amp.

If you want to keep your trunk and not have the amps up in sight I'd definately mount them over in the spare tire area, I've even thought about going a simpler route like that to get my trunk back.

Here is mine. I have a Phoenix Gold Xenon 1200.1 and a Zuki Eleets in the amp rack with the EFX power and ground distro blocks. The subs are FI Audio Q's.

Oh, yes I have cleaned all the MDF dust off of my subs

well, I made "something" but I'm not sure I like it ... lol ... I kinda made it so the cooling fins on the two MTX amps I had were visible but I think I gave too much space around it so you can see the wood/wiring underneath ... F!
