now with this setup. could you wirer it up so you could tune your car too. like hp tuners and it so you can adjust tune on the go. well if i had somethign like this in the car. and was sitting at a light runnning 12 psi. and i wanted to race the guy next to me but i needed 16psi. i could just click the screen and bam, new tune?

is this do able? i was going to get a lab top for this. but if i could just have it in car.

oh and are you using a touch screen?

^^^ yes, well maybe. You can do anything that you could with a hand tuner plugged into your obd2 port under steering wheel. I'm assuming you can do that with a handheld so yes you could with the right software, which does cost $100 or so, i think. Havent looked into it much since car is basically stock and didnt plan on tuning it. Mp3car does have an obd2 section so i'd start reading up there for the best solution.

I beleive you wouldn't be able to do that without a Roadrunner PCM for your car. I'm pretty sure the RR is the only one that allows you to adjust the tune while the car is running. Thats what I had planned on doing atleast...Haven't checked into it lately.

i think i am going to go something like that route with HPT. though i wont have tune on the fly since i have a 3 bar map. but i want to be able to switch back and forth from e85 and gasoline.

for your thing about 12 and 16 psi, you just tune it to 16 and turn down your boost to 12, you shouldnt really have to mess with the tune in that sense especially if your on a SD tune.

I just finished it, and I need to say,

DO NOT ATTEMPT A CARPC WITHOUT PRIOR EXPERIENCE WITH A CAR SOUND SYSTEM.

It was a pain in the ***.

I'll have a video tomorrow after I run my carpeting and wire my speakers.

Experience with car wiring in general. I have none, which made this a very difficult task for me. For someone who has put a system in a car before, it's probably really easy. It was mostly trying to get the power supply to work, the wires have to be SPOT on with each other for it to power on, which was hard because I was trying to be cheap and not buy any connectors. Lol.

Newer tech enroute for mini systems. I back tracked for this link, but I know I saw another somewhere showing an apparent modular motherboard with a daughterboard. http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/...atom,2300.html
I would imagine this would be even better then running 775 or other regular sized cpu's : ) >

Zotac all in one kit

DAMN! I didn't think the Ion would be out so soon. I'll be switching to this almost immediately.

The mounting was kinda easy. I had to make a custom mount with lexan and liquid nails, but it fits great now that I have it trimmed. I still need to make a bezel around it, I can snap pics tomorrow when I wire my speakers.

Btw, during the day with NO tint, its really hard to see the screen, I'm thinking about getting 35% tint if that doesn't help, I may have to get a transflective or whatever its called.
