What speakers to use?
I recently bought a 02' FireHawk convertible and really need to upgrade the "bass" sound in the car. It has the "monsoon" system, but the rear speakers are aftermarket Alpines that were thrown into the car from the previous owner. The reason why there isn't that much bass is due to when the top goes down, the bar has to clear the back of the speakers, therefore the reason why the bass magnet is shorter (resulting into less bass).
My question is: "Does anyone have a subwoofer in their convertible trunk? and does it sound good, even though it is completely enclosed in the trunk?"

I just got her a small MTX 6000 10" with like a 250watt sub so it wasn't anything ridiculously special, but fine for her.
I'm sure doing something like that would add you the bass you want without adding too much weight.
