DEI is good, easy installs, lots of good extras. I have also worked with code alarm, they are just as good less extras, but better on the $$.

Viper 5902 and Smart Start along with a few add-ons is probably the best, and is what I'm going with. Smart Start is optional, but nice if you have a Iphone.

Isn't the trunk release option just for cars without the electric release already?

thats not what my installer told me. he is a good friend and i got a discount and i know he wouldnt screw me. i think it has something to do with them removing the factory alarm and being able to use the button on the new remote

I see what it is...The trunk release kit is infact a solenoid that I'm guessing can be used for a car without a power trunk release, but Viper says that not all cars WITH a power trunk release can be operated by the Viper without the optional solenoid. I guess our power trunk release can't be used with the DEI alarms like alot of cars can?

yea thats pretty much what he told me. i guess its just vipers way of getting more money. but i have to say i love the window rolldown add on. i just roll them down, pop the trunk and take off the t-tops. its pretty nice.

I would get the accessory that lets you record your voice when it goes off. "Back off my car motherf*cker!" haha. I'm thinking of doing that when I get my Viper alarm and I was thinking of wiring up some strobes when it goes off to get some more attention. People hopefully won't **** with it then.
