Default 8" Wide Touch Screen Installed

Just redid my outdated Pioneer indash nav unit with new Power Acoustik PTID-8001n. Not to bad IMO. Not the best GUI, but plays DVD's in high quality, USB, iPod, and for $200 can not complain.

This is only a single-din unit.

I do not have full setup installed yet. As you can see I have the wiring for the amp in the floor, but thats where it still is. Still a work in progress.

Still trying to figure out what and where i am going to put the rest of my system. (amp, subs, etc.)

I'm curious... why install a single DIN motorized display but still do all those modifications to the dash when you could install a double DIN and leave the HVAC controls where they were?

How did you move 'em there, Did you have to add anything for the wires to reach the glove box?

As I said in my first post I was changing out my old pioneer indash nav unit I had, and I had done that before all the fancy double din bezels had been made, so I initially removed the HVAC into the glovebox and installed a DVD player below the nav unit...

I had to splice and extend the some of the wires if I remember correctly.

And also double dins dont have 8" displays or I would have just replaced the nav unit. I think some of you may be confused about the single-din operation... the screen does not go back into the unit like other single dins, its all external, the screen only lifts up to allow access to the cd/dvd drive.
