Default HUMount Installed.

Well, I tried to install this thing the other night, but I was tired and I wasn't thinking things very well, and kind of gave up. I woke up the next day, and give it another whirl. I gotta say, it was much easier then what I thought it was. Anyways, here are some pictures.

Personally, I kind of like the light that shines through the bottom. So, I may keep it that way. But, I did put some tape up the top so there was no bleed through light up there.

It's the Mini-Lamp.

Looks good but do you plan on a new Headunit? The green clashes to say the least. haha. I've always like Humounts, i've had 3 of them.

In all honesty, I drive my car at night maybe 4-5 times a year. So the lighting won't be on much at all. I mainly got the HUMount so it sits flush with the rest of the radio area, and aesthetic reasons...IE the engraved "formula". I have another head unit(a sony) which lights up red, but I really don't like how it sounds. I may end up getting another HU, but I'm fine with the Pioneer that's in there now.

Yeah that makes sense, the $100-200 could be spent better somewhere else.

It's just a different head unit install kit. It's made by HUMount.

I'm not sure if it's a 3rd gen font or not, it just says Script when you order on their webpage.

Aren't they like $85?

Anyway, this is on my short list when I get some extra cash. Looks great!

I have one , that looks great! I used black electrical to tape the inside so the light would not shine thru and If I can make a suggestion......... get a camaro HVAC control and swap the faceplate so you don't have those ugly gray *****. The black looks much better with the interior. just a thought not trying to be a critic. I put a firebird face plate in my camaro and did the rest in red.

I'm not sure how black would look with my HVAC overlays. But, maybe I'll buy some just to see how they look.

I also have since upgraded that crappy HU to a Kenwood X995. So far I like the HU, but I'm not 100% sure how to set it up to get the most out of it.
