Default Amp Rack Pics

As the title says, let's see some amp racks. Mainly looking for those that are directly behind the back seat. plexiglas? neons? custom lettering on the top? Trying to get some ideas here, as mine is just sitting currently....

all courtesy of Ian at Kee Audio, minus the box....all components swapped to CDTs, and a new HU.

thanks, that helped somewhat...but i'm going to get another mono amp to run the subs to mount up there with that one as well. not really sure i'll have the room to put 2 big amps in that space. thinking of going with the jbl 14001, with some sort of plexiglas design, and tubes running through it in the cool white to match the led interior lighting.

On the 2nd page the guy had 2 amps in the one rack, but you could also make two levels of the amp rack if that makes sense. Like build a regular rack then box it off and put an amp stacked on top of the other. Make sense?
Or something like this: http://www.alpine.com.au/images/pdx/pdx_stack.jpg

I'd bet he's running 2 amps for the 2 subs, and the other for his mids/highs. that's the setup I was looking for pretty much...

Thats what I was assuming but I don't see why not run just one amp for both subs, unless he's got some major power to them that I can't see.

The left amp is a 2 Ohm 420W amp for the L 10" sub
The center amp is a 4 Ohm 280W amp for the 4 speakers up front
The right amp is a 4 Ohm 170W amp for the hatch speakers
plus I have another 2 Ohm 420W amp for the R 10' sub where the spare tire used to be
The capacitor is just for good measure for bass response

Here's the front of the amp rack where we did slots for the T-tops to slide into:

Thats a lotta amps! Why didn't you just get two, one for the subs and for the mids/highs up front/sails and leave the hatch stock? And honestly, that cap probably hurts more then helps but you may not be drawing enough for it to really factor into the setup. Still clean nonetheless.

Yeah, well. That's the thing. I know I wanted to mount some amps there, but didn't wanna go all crazy; wanted to make it custom, but nice. And yes, the capacitor probably only helps a little, but even if it only helps some...that's some that it helps over stock. Lemme tell ya, when people hear those subs hit, and then they see they're just a couple of 10"s, they're visibly impressed.

What 10's are you running? Decent 10's can sound good, then from there up (12's, 15's, etc..) it just gets louder, especially in hatches. I had two 10's in a previous setup and you could hear them and people were impressed but that wasn't enough and now I am hooked on getting more and being louder (and now most people can't handle it, and i have to turn it down and its just CVR's). When I get my next set of speakers bought it'll be my third different setup in 7 months and hopefully that'll be it for awhile, then I'll be making a rack hopefully as clean as yours.
Anyway, not bashing on your setup at all, very clean, just wasn't sure why you went the route you did but to each their own and it works.

And what do you do with your ttops when they're off (if yours has them)?

Running MTX subs. Don't hit like 12"s or anything, but then again, I don't mind not being heard from a mile away. My focus was making sure the sound in the car was clean and strong; but, again, they can hit hard. As for the t-tops, they fit nice and snug locked up in their slots. The reason I didn't go with a sub enclosure for the trunk area is that it's my DD, and I use that back area a lot.
