Default Monsoon Speakers Upgrade

I'm looking to upgrade all of my monsoon speakers and wanting to know If anyone has the kee audio set up or if you have any suggestions on other speakers for the car. I really don't want to re wire the car because I want to run off the amp. Also I have to replace my radio and should I just put another stock radio or replace with an aftermarket.

Get the Kee Audio Basic package (premium package if you are or plan on using aftermarket power at some point). I have that in my car and the CDTs components and the Bazooka subs in the sail panels made a world of difference!

I am not using the JVC coaxials that came with it for the hatch speakers because the stock speakers are fine. I do have an Alpine HU, but I'm still driving the stock Monsoon amp with it, and the Monsoon amp is driving the CDTs and the Bazookas. KEE AUDIO ROCKS!

Ive been looking into this kit too and it looks like the speakers in this kit are 4 Ohm impedence. I may be mistaken, but isnt the stock system a 2 Ohm?

Yes they are 4ohm with a sensitivity rating of about 91db.
I put that package together specifically for F-bodies and have sold hundreds to satisfied customers.

Well as long as they sound good thats what matters I guess. I desperately need new speakers to replace my blown monsoon's. The only ones that still work are the rears, meaning very poor sound quality right now. I just need something that sounds at least as good as the original full functioning monsoon.

I saw this low profile "sub wooferish" contraption that shakes the vehicle a while ago and thought about putting it under my seat but have no need. Crutchfield sells them http://www.crutchfield.com/p_575IB20...r&ssi=0&tp=111

This may be comparing apples or oranges, but how does this package from Ian compare to the Mach 460 in the mustangs?

Sound quality that is. My friends mach1 with the 460 sounds good and ive only once heard a monsoon system that wasnt already blown, and that was 10 years ago. Not that its a deciding factor for me or anything, as im pretty much already set on getting this upgrad from Ian.

When I worked at a ford dealership we had a 04 GT with the dual sub Mach 1 and I wasn't very impressed. I cranked up the subs but they really didn't hit very hard. They hit harder than our Monsoons but definitely not as much as you'd think they would. As for the sound quality it was good but I prefer the sound of the monsoon. But i've had 3 f-bodies so I think i'm kinda biased lol.

Is the basic package something that is offered all the time? I'll be doing some sterio upgrading in the future and just want to make sure I'm not going to miss out.

yes, Ian has the basic package on his website all the time, but from time to time, you can catch a price break, which he was running, may still be...

The basic and premium packages are ran all the time and when I get thrown a bone from CDT I pass on the savings to you guys by dropping the prices a bit. The regular price of the premium package is $379.00 and the regular price of the standard package is $279.00. Keep in mind that the 2 packages are already discounted because they are a package but then I put them on sale for the holidays and haven't changed the price back yet because I've been out of the Bazookas and have been utilizing the new 2010 Audiopipe DVC sub that was redesigned. It has been a very good performer so far and I've been quite pleased with it.
I will have more Bazookas this month as well....or so I've been promised...that order went out before Christmas and still has been backordered but it is supposed to be here this month some time.
The other special deals I've been running will end this month though as they actually ended last month but I bought enough to keep the special going for a little while. When they are gone that's the end of the special on those.

You could save some money and just stick a vibrator under your seat. LOL!!! That's basically all it really does is shake...hard. I wouldn't advise it over a subwoofer.
