Default best 6.5 speakers for bass?

i just blew my passenger side by the rear seat 6.5" speaker. i really want to get woofers but i dont want it to weigh me down in the rear. i really hate it when my car sits lower in the rear than the front. so im just curious whats the best 6.5" speaker that will give me the best bass. any opinions. thanks.

Having a woofer or two in the hatch area won't make a noticeable difference on your cars stance, I have two 12's in a hatch box that weighs about 60+lbs if i had to guess (it took two to get it in securely) and my rear doesn't sit any lower. And whats your price range for the 6.5's?

i put 35 pounds in weight in my trunk and it brought it down enough for me to notice. idk i guess im very picky when it comes to that stuff. anyways probably around $100 or so.

I believe Kee Audio has some deals on component 6.5's for midbass in the sail panels. Check out the site.

So, you don't like how your car sits when you sit in it? Your springs are either, A, much to soft, or B, your eyes are playing tricks on you.

Honestly, you're not going to get much bass out of a 6.5" being powered by the factory amp. I just installed the CDT 6.5" that Kee sells, and they were decent, better sounding then stock, but about the same amount of bass. Now, I'm powering 80w to them, and they sound amazing. So, really you need a different power source, IMO.

I got some Bazookas from Kee Audio for the sail panel a while back. They sound good for the price. They bolt right up too.

Did they fit in your T/A without any spacers? Also, are you running them with only the monsoon amp?

Thanks

I did not use any spacers, I simply cut some of the sheet metal behind the speaker and they fit fine. It's not as bad as you think. I then used some sheet metal screws and drilled new holes to mount the speakers. I am running it off the monsoon amp and they sound good, but then again I have a JL stealthbox as well.
