Default Window motor, switch, or voltage?

I have a 2000 SS and the driver window seems to not want to roll up all of the time. Now I thought it is the motor, but I was told it was the voltage to the driver side and there is a plug and play kit that send more voltage to that motor. Does anyone know if this exists, and if so does it work well? Another things is that the window will roll down then it won't roll back up. Is that possibly the switch or is it just the window motor? Thanks for any help or input on any of my questions.

The motor works harder to roll a window up so a window motor on its way out will struggle to roll the window all the way up and eventually completely die.

The kit to supply the correct voltage is the autotrix kit.

Just replaced my drivers motor. Same issue. Replace yours and you'll be fine. Get the Dorman motor, not the other brands. Really, it takes like 30-45 minutes. Easy as pie. Just look at the motor replacement guide on here.

Best thing to do is replace the motor AND get the autotrix kit. Then you won't have to worry about replacing the motor periodically.

The AutoTrix kit is for the passenger window. They don't make one for the driver window.

They make both sides. The express down (the one you want for the driver side) is much more expensive.

I don't think the express down module does the same thing - it adds functionality but it doesn't re-route the power like the passenger window fix does. In fact, they offer both the window fix and an express down module for the passenger side but only the express down for the driver side.

I would check with them before buying something that may not do what you want.

The issue is probably the resistance strip in the motor itself. You can replace the motor but the resistance strip in the new motor will eventually have the same problem. What I do is bypass the resistance strip in the stock "failed" motor. This has brought every motor I have done it to back from the dead.
