The install itself should be a breeze as long as the stock wiring harness is still in the car. If so, remove the shroud around the space where the reciever is supposed to be, plug in the harness/antenna, and bolt it in. The first time that reciever is powered on, it's most likely going to be locked and you're going to need to enter an unlock code. Do you have the code for it?

Do a search here on the forum, and google...you should be able to find a process to retrieve the unlock code. I've done it a couple times but it's been years ago.

If the radio lock code was never set by the original owner, you could be ok.

Good luck. I recently did the exact same thing. I pulled the aftermarket radio out and installed the factory. Luckily the previous owner did't hack the harness or set the radio lock.

+1. I just got put the stock HU back in. Even though it looks a little dated, it fills up the space and matches the dash. It doesn't sound as good as aftermarket, but I'm not an audiophile.

If he did hack up the harness, you can wire in a replacement GM connector. Check the monsoon FAQ in the sticky for the part number.
