I figure I'll need another qtr to half roll to finish the rear and then do the rest of the rear seat back area and call it good for a while. Eventually I'll get to the rest!

Im debating getting some MLV and doing up the whole floor/transmission tunnel right now - I got almost 0 vibrations but I hear a lot of road noise coming from the center console (I do have a 6 speed swap and made the hole a little bigger too)

Does anyone have any opinions on how much it helps? I know for the whole floor it would probably add about 50-100 lbs so im debating if its worth it... hmmm

Did my driver door last night.
I'll get to passenger tomorrow.
Hatch over the weekend.

Impressions from those who've done part or entire car?

My impression is that the car rattles WAY less, went from sounding old and used to my coworkers audio (as far as vibrations go over bumps)

BUT road noise and wind noise is more obvious on the spots that I slacked off in - and my transmission tunnel now sounds louder as well.

Don't cover the holes where the trim panel hooks and all is fine.

With only the rear well and inner fenders done I feel like its a bit quieter from back there. I havent reinstalled the carpeting or the spare tire and jack so that will be the test.

Even this stuff adds up quick. $17 x 6 rolls is right at $100. I probably ended up using 7-8 rolls in mine.

Just picked up two rolls to start on my doors. What was the easiest way y'all have found to put it on?

The warmer the temperature the better, it make the asphalt extremely sticky. If it cool where you are at, use a hairdryer to heat it up a bit.
As far as applying it, I used my fingers and firmly pressed it on. I form it into all of the contours of the surface, so fingers work perfect. If you plan to just pull it over the contours of the surface is relatively flat, a roller will probably work better if not faster.

Seems the shell is best, but I put it on the inner door. If you are really ****, you could do both. The door would shut like a bank vault.

So is everyone using the Quick-Roof? Or the Peal-n-Seal?

How are these holding up? Is anyone having problems with the pieces coming loose on vertical surfaces?

I covered the part of the door you see when you remove the interior panel (so the panel covers it) and I also reached inside and laid some on the backside of the outer skin.

This is KrisXpc's car, but my door looks like this:

Here is his thread for reference:
https://ls1tech.com/forums/stereo-el...tall-pics.html

I reached in that gaping hole and laid more sound deadener on the backside of the outer skin so now when you look in that hole, you see more silver.

I found this pic of johnzss's car that show's what I'm talking about on the backside of the outer door skin:

My coverage is a little more complete, like KrisXpc's door.

Here is a link to his thread:
https://ls1tech.com/forums/stereo-el...dead-80-a.html

I'm also considering making a panel to cover than hole and, of course, cover that panel in sound deadener as well. I think I saw it done once.
