T/A headlights, lubrication?

T/A headlights, lubrication? My Ws6's right headlamp motor went out last year and I replaced it myself with the GM unit and now it occasionally won't come up or go down. When it does work it squeeks like a door hinge...as if it needs lubricated or greased. Is the linkage suppose to be greased every so often or something?
pass side headlamp i have replaced 2 pass side headlamp otors in less than 6 mos(gm parts)
the ds makes a loud mechanical sound when opening but works fine.
i am a bout to purchase # 3 & am wondering if iam missing something
any one having, or had this problem?

I replaced the pass. side motor last summer then stored the car all winter and now the same motor will not work at times; I have to cycle the light switch a few times when it chooses not to work the first time. I can't believe the plastic gear stripped with only being used for a few months.

Try listening to see if the motor itself is running when the headlight won't open. If so then there really isn't anything but the gears that could be causing the problem. If not then you need to do some troubleshooting such as checking if you're getting power to the motor, etc. to determine if the motor is the problem or if it's something else in the circuit.
