Stereo Display Lights Shot

Does anyone know if the display lights on the stereo display can be replaced? If so who on here does that type of work? The radio is a factory one in a Pontiac Sunfire? I know it sound stupid but this car has alot of sentimental value to be and I want to get it fixed ( if it's possible ).

Which lights? The buttons or digital character display or all of them?

Have you checked all your fuses and dash light switches?

You might also check out ReplacementRadios.com. They should be able to do bulb replacements/refurbishments for you.

wssix99, sorry that i didn't exactly specify which ones. The lights that are not working properly are the digital display. Some are working some are very dim. I will take a look at the link that you sent me as well.

You mean it looks garbled? The solder points probably have some micro-cracks. Only way to fix it it to reflow the solder. There are some old threads on here about it.

It actually looks as if the lights that should light up the display have burned out. I may be wrong, but some of it lights up albeit it is very dim. That's what leads me to beleive the bulbs are burned out.

If I remember correctly, there is only one or two bulbs behind the display and it/they are to the side. So if you are seeing certain segments dim, it probably is the solder.
