Here is my bass idea for my 2002 Trans Am
Seriously thinking about going with the stealthbox on drivers side.
See if this sounds like it will work. Should be some good bass with all of that power running to the ten.
Pioneer also calls for small sealed boxes.
I do have a question on mounting depth. Which is at 6 11/16 inches.
I could wire that sub down to ohm, which is watt the amp can handle.
I don't have to have bone vibrating bass anymore. But I want something decent and punchy. How is the bass response in these stealthboxes? Better yet, how is it with a speaker that can handle lots of power?
Pioneer TS-W2502D2 10 In. Champion Series PRO Subwoofer
Champion Series Pro 10" sub with dual 2-ohm voice coils
Specifications
Sealed Box Volume: The sealed box sizes recommended by Pioneer range from 0.35 ft³ to 0.7 ft³; within this range the ideal size is 0.6 ft³.
Vented Box Volume: The vented box sizes recommended by Pioneer range from 0.6 ft³ to 1.2 ft³; within this range the ideal size is 0.9 ft³. The ideal port size for a 0.9 ft³ enclosure is 3" diameter x 3.75" long.
Single Reflex Bandpass Volume: The bandpass box sizes recommended by Pioneer range from 0.6 ft³ per chamber to 1.0 ft³ per chamber; within this range the ideal size is 0.8 ft³ per chamber. One 3" diameter x 8" long port should be used in an enclosure with 0.8 ft³ chambers.
Power Handling: The woofer has two 2Ω voice coils; each coil can handle up to 400 watts RMS (800 watts total).
This will be the amp pushing the ten.

try this setup if u want loud and clean:
get the box from here:
(non-sponsor link removed)
i used the kicker 8'' subwoofer...fits perfectly to the specs of the box
Alpine MRV-M250 Mono subwoofer amplifier
Alpine type-s speakers all around
since the car is a "hatch back" it sounds great..hopefully it works out

I have a ported stealthbox holding an 8" jbl gto804 and it hits harder than the sealed 10" I had in the same box when it was originally sealed off. its punchier and weighs less than the 10" as well
