Default FIXED ---car shut off while driving now wont start

I was cruising Sunday night and after a turn my car shut off and now won't start... The fuel pump won't prime but the car will crank over. And when it shut off it was hard for my key to turn off then back on like it got stuck almost I checked grounds on back of head all 3 are tight and One of my friends suggested its an ignition switch but also another said vats ? I have a viper alarm with Autostart also but have had it for 2 years no problems. What the hell could this be ? Also all lights work interior and exterior radio ext. but the service engine light under tach came on and the security light is also on but has been on for a few months. i replaced ignition switch last night and it still doesnt get power to fuel pump ive spent over 40 hours on this and still cant find out

Did you check the fuse first? Otherwise your pump may have pumped its last.

Check the connections to the relay, also swap the relay with the ac one and see if it will start then. This is more of a connection problem than anything else. Also take a dvm and check to see if the computer is giving the relay the turn on signal (voltage to activate it).

Just on a weird thought, have you ever pulled your bcm and checked the grounds inside it? Otherwise you have something grounding out or possibly your pcm. Take a digital volt meter (dvm) and check the output of your computer where it goes to the relays, if there isn't any power it is probably your pcm, it they are there and measuring around 12v then keep looking for something else.
