Question Humount Wiring

I'm planning on ordering a Humount w/ LEDs,and a new receiver. My question is how would I wire it so that the LEDs is on when the car is on. I'm not an electrical guru but I could always get someone to help me. I looked on a couple threads and couldn't really find any info unless I wasn't looking in the right spot. Any info would be awesome.

pretty straight forward, since its just LED lights, connect it to the radio harness.

On every aftermarket harness you have several key wires
Yellow= Constant battery power
Red= Switched power
Black= Ground

so to wire it so the lights come on with the key on connect the power wire of the humount to the red "switched power" and the ground to the black "ground" wire.

keep in mind these are the colors for the aftermarket wire harness adapter, not the stock radio plug. most of the time it is written on the wire what they are.

If my Camaro already has an aftermarket radio it should have an aftermarket radio harness? It already had it when I bought it. I never took the radio out to look behind it. I'm not very good with wiring and stereo stuff lol

it SHOULD, but I have on several occasions seen some idiots try to save 10-15 bucks on the harness and just cut up the factory wiring.

Aftermarket will be plugged into the OEM black connector, no adapter harness will look like a hack job. If it's an aftermarket one, you'll see something like this:

http://www.crutchfield.com/p_1207018...e-Harness.html

What I did for the HUmount was to splice into 12v switched and the illumination wire, so it only comes on when I turn the headlights on.
