Default Alternator Wire Big 3

I'm doing the Big 3 for my car and I have my grounds done, but I cannot for the love of God get this Alternator wire terminal off to add my wire, it just spins and spins and refuses to come off. Any ideas to get it off?

Just using the stock alternator for now

that stud is part of the rectifier plate......you may need to replace it

I had that happen recently. I kept unscrewing it until I could get a wrench on the stud to hold it in place, then it broke the nut loose. Downside is you twist the crap out of the wire, but it worked.

I ended up just twisting it until the wire was pulled off. Opened up the alternator and fixed it myself. Crimped a new terminal on and also discovered my alternator is remanufactured. Big 3 helped with voltage drop some, but a HO Alternator is in my future. Stereo is just too much

i did a truck alt and big 3 and its a night and day difference. Even my headlights emits more light at night

145 amp KG3 truck alternator

The ACDELCO 3351092 is the way to go.

Go to rockauto and buy it. Then buy a belt that is 1 size bigger than what you have on it.
