Any one know what can cause my keyfob to not work. I can open the trunk with it but when i click the lock or unlock buttons it makes the sound like if it actually locked/ unlocked the doors but they remain open. Also when i bought the car it didnt have door keys so i went to a gm dealer ship gave them my vin and they gave me a set of keys that would go all the way in into the cylinder but i cant turn it to the sides to unlock the car. Any idea what it can be?

Do you have a spare key fob you can try? That would tell you whether the problem is with the fob or the locks. Do they lock/unlock with the inside switches?

As far as the key not turning... the dealer cut the key incorrectly.

Unfortunately i dont have a spare key fob and now that you mention it they inside switches dont lock the doors either but it does make the sound When you click the lock or unlock..

Can you manually lock them from inside? Do they slide freely back and forth?

from the inside yes i can lock and unlock thm and they feel kinda the same as my other fbody lock switches. Maybe a bit harder to slide but not by much

Manually lock (don't lock yourself out of your car) one door and try to unlock it. Does it unlock? Now manually unlock the same door and then try to lock it. Did it lock? Repeat the same on the other door. Just trying to find out if it's a lock, unlock on one or both doors issue.

it didnt work. Any ideas on what it can be. When i click the lock or unlock button i can hear something around the glove box
