Interior Lighting Issue 2000 WS6 My interior lights do not light up when you opening the doors. The mirror lights do work when toggling switch. The rear dome light is reading 14vdc from both leads. Any help would be super appreciated.

Does your radio shut off after you turn off the ignition? If not, it would indicate that the door latch switch isn't functioning so the BCM can't tell when you open the door. Do the interior lights go on and off when unlocking/locking using the key fob?

Radio turns off when I kill it. It will recognize when the back hatch is open on dash.But does not light. Nothing for the either door. Lights do thing when using key fob.
The wires for the rear dome are both reading 14vdc

You can stop taking voltage readings... the courtesy light system is controlled by the BCM managing the ground potential (that's how it creates the theater dimming effect) so there will never be normal power and ground available as you would expect with a standard light circuit.
I'm not sure I get what you mean by "radio turns off when I kill it". Does that mean the radio turns off as soon as you turn off the ignition? Or does it continue to play until you open a door?

You have replaced the COURTESY fuse, right?

So replaced the Courtesy fuse. When I shut the car down and open the door the antenna will lower and the radio will shut off. None of the cabin lights turn on. When I click the key fob only the tail lights blink

Does the dome light go on when you turn the dash dimmer dial all the way up past the click?
Do you have a standard test light (not a multimeter)? If so, remove the dome bulb, connect the clip of the test light to a power source, wait until the BCM goes to sleep (about 10 minutes after ignition off and last door closed) then touch test light tip to the ground side of the bulb socket - the side with the white wire - then open a door. The test light should go on and eventually dim. If not, you have a break somewhere in the white ground return wire or a problem with the BCM itself. First thing to do in that case is test the continuity of the white wire between the dome lamp (or the mirror) and the blue connector at the BCM (white wire in position D1 of the blue connector - it's the only all white wire in that connector).

Fronts parking lights blink and horn beeps.
I get nothing from the dome light. Mirror lights don’t light up when the doors open either. Only when I flip the switches
I don’t have a test light. I will order one. Any suggestions?

The nice thing about test lights is that they're cheap and available everywhere. Your local auto parts store will have several models and Walmart has one for only $8. Of course, the same thing is available online as well. If you were really going to get into electrical work, I would recommend one of the Power Probe models for their amazing capabilities (I wouldn't be without one for myself) but they go for $150 and up and you certainly don't need that for these simple tests. The $8 model is quite sufficient and it's a good tool to have in your box.

It is a good suggestion to get test lights. Thanks! I need to check whether the electrical system of the old car I just bought is fine. It is more than 25 years old, and I need to ensure that all the essential systems work so I can drive it to a local auto repair shop for the rest of the tests. I got this car for $100, and it is still fine. I think it is a good variant for my first car. I want to install all the cool stuff into it and make it a disco car. Both interior and exterior car lighting will be LED and multicolored so I can change the colors all the time or even synchronize it with the music I listen to.
