need a radar bad!! i just go my like 6th ticket, so i think its just about the right time to invest in a radar!! i have never bought one before so what kind should i get, i want to know where thoses fockers are hiding before i pass them!!! any suggestions

I have the Passport 8500, and it works great, except for laser, it detects it, but laser is so fast you have no time to slow down, thats why i'm going to buy a laser jamer, there not illegal. So grab both of those, and you'll be set.

"Radar detector", i have had both whistler and cobra, personally i like the cheaper whistler models the best. they haven't failed me yet, i pick up all the necessary stuff and not much else. the cobra seemed to pick up every little thing.
now, of course these aren't the best, depends how much you have. Valentine's are supposed to be the best.... but they cost $$$

I have the Bel RX 65 pro. My buddy has the passport 8500 but when we cruise, mine picks up the radar way before his. They retail for like $350, I got mine on ebay for $200. I love it. Check the reviews.

I bought the best one Radio Shack had it was around $100 dollars. It detects Laser but I haven't had a run in with one yet. Of course I live in Ky, so I'm sure the laser radar's haven't made it over here yet. YEEE HAAWWW. 
Works good any other time. Only had one close call and that was when I met a cop and he didn't kick his radar on until he got right up on me. I guess neither one of us was paying attention.
