Default starter kill

I am going to install a starter kill like the one on bfrankers site (i already have the parts just need help with finding the right wire) I am going to set it up so that you have to hold the passenger side window up button while turning the key, (or maybe a different button, not sure yet) but the issue is that the wire i need to cut is a Yellow wire under the steering wheel and that will be the first place a theif looks to hotwire a car, im looking to go down stream if possible like in the bfranker site to under the passenger kick panel/glove box area, according to bfrankers site there is a thick purple wire but i have yet to find it, he also has an alarm installed AND his car is a 96, mines an 01 bird... so i dont know if the wiring is the same. anyways. has anyone got a suggestion on where i can find this purple wire before i go tearing away at my dash again, i suppose i could always take everything i can out and try to follow the yellow wire as far away as possible... but that would suck anyways, suggestions? maybe ill just follow the yellow wire as far as i can under the driver side panel..

thanks

My suggestion is: www.ravelco.com

After lots of investigation, for less than $300 this is as close to bulletproof as you get. A kill switch can still be cicrumvented by a reasonable smart thief.

and if i go "downstream of the steering wheel, whos going to have the time or brilliance to 1. suspect a starter kill and 2. go looking under the glove box? i think its pretty cheap peace of mind

since you already have the parts, sounds like a good idea. for extra security, a fuel pump shuoff under the car would completely disable the car
