Ok. Not too sure on the Amount of space below the Box for Certain.

http://www.subthump.com/acamarottop.htm

It say's in it's description that t has room under the Box for Amps

As for the Best Sub's; This kind of the Same type of questions as a "Which Cam?" thread in the Interior area. It's a Hard recommendation to make unless you have other Points and Questions to be made. Not getting down on you just stating Points to help you get started.

Ok. Some Questions for you.

What Price $ range. I say range because some subs are better for a few dollars (like $20) more. Also gives a Starting point as to Which Brands and Level you trying to go for.

What Size? That box can be made to handel 1-3 10" or 1-2 12" subs

What kind of Music do you listen the most to? This can determine The type of Bass you are looking for. I.E. Tight and Punchy, or Loud and Boomy.

ANy Brand Favorites?

Power Handleing. (You have that covered by listing the Amp, but it's easier to list the Power Specs by OHM. Very Important to help get the Most out of the Amp.)

How Many? I'm going to guess and say you are shooting for 2 12's

Asking a more detailed Question can get a better responce from Members.

https://ls1tech.com/forums/wiring-stereo-electronics/327795-amp-sub-match.html

This is your other thread the had some suggestions. This for others to referance.

I have resently been modeling the Adire Speakers. From What I have heard (second hand sorry) and read, they have been a Great speaker for the Money. On the lower end you could get 2 Shiva 10" or 12" dual 4ohm voice coils. The Shiva 10D4 or 12D4. Great low end extension and like either a Sealed or Ported design. Pretty Respectable performance that can best some subs at 2-3 the $.

http://www.adireaudio.com/Mobile/ShivaSeries.htm

Here are the SPecs to your AMP. MTX 942. Class AB deisgn. 2ch.
Power RMS 12vDC
2 Ohm Load 350 w x 2
4 Ohm Load 175 w x 2
Bridged 4 Ohm Load 700
Dynamic Power 14.4 VDC
2 Ohm Load 470 w x 2
4 Ohm Load 235 w x 2
Bridged 4 Ohm Load 940

It wants a 4ohm bridged load and then Produces between 700-940w. You'll need to share that power accross any of the speaker arrangements listed below.

This says it wants to see a 4 ohm bridged load. That means you need the subs to be arranged to produce this load. SO. You are going to need any of the following:

1 4ohm speaker
http://www.sounddomain.com/shop/woof...svc&x=131&y=10

2 8ohm Parralleled speakers
http://www.sounddomain.com/shop/woof..._svc&x=145&y=4

or
2 Dual Voice Coil 4ohm speaker
http://www.sounddomain.com/shop/woof..._dvc&x=132&y=8

3 12ohm parralleled speakers.
http://www.sounddomain.com/shop/woof...svc&x=155&y=18

3 dual 6ohm voice coil Subs
http://www.sounddomain.com/shop/woof..._dvc&x=133&y=7

The Link shows how to wire it up. Pretty Handy tool. You can easily see how it works. Try out different Combinations and see what will work for your amp and what doesn't.

I noticed it doesn't include other Arrangements that are available. Like dual 8ohm voice coils. Basically. It 2x the resistance of the Dual 4 ohm speaker.

This will help start narrowing it down Some.

Ok. That's a good place to start. Both of the Subs are decint pieces. The Kickers being the better sub over the MTX subs.

Everyone has their Opinions and right now I'm messin around with Adire stuff a bit.

Man. I would stay away from AudioBlauh. I haven't seen too many issues as of late to consider them. Latest problem is the Voice coil is separting from the cone.

I will say to buy New. Used is a gamble unless you know the Guy you are buying them from. Not worth the Savings.

Refurbished is a Hit and miss. Sometimes the Speaker was killed by Distortion or too much power (pretty rare actually). Those would be OK to buy. However, Sometimes the speaker fails due to the Basket being mis-manufactured or bent. Those subs will die pretty fast. So. It's a gamble.

Brands off the Top of my head.
Kicker
MTX
Audiobaun
Soundstream
Phoenix Gold
Rockford Fosegate
JL (W0's would work, but can't handle the Full power)
Diamond
MB Quart
Adire Audio

the best speaker is has the Most performance in your Price range, The size you want, and fits the Volume well. Some subs can work in 1.1 ft^3 but it's not Optimal.

You looked at Kicker and those a good subs.

Sorry If I can't get you anymore experience info. I moderate, but haven't stayed on top of What's What of Car stereo too much.

Actually. Come to think of it; I've seen a couple of reviews on the Diamond M6 and it seems to be a good performer for the Money. I believe I've seen that sub mentioned a couple of times in the Area. People are pretty happy with them.

I found 1 for about $150 buy now on E-bay.

thanks, im thinking of going with the new kicker CVR's, they are a nice lookin sub and have a good price. how are they going to sound in that size of enclosure? do they have tighter base or deep base u can hear for miles? i was looking at circuit city at them and they sounded pretty good. imo the mtx 5500 sounded just a hair louder. im stuck between the 2. both are for a good price and sound pretty much the same. whick will last longer? the only thing is that circuit city they only had them in ported boxes. which brand usually does better in a sealed box?

Dayton Loudspeaker MarkIII. Actaully seems better on Paper than the Adires.

I'm going to build a Vented Home enclosure soon for another Moderator. This thing Rocks for a Decint Size 12" Vented. Can work in the 1.1 Sealed as well. It just rolls off a little bit more. Been Modeling using the Box Building Program I posted about. This WinISD rocks so far. Actaully catches some Fibbing on the Manufactures part.

They are also in your price range and seem to be a pretty beefy sub. Hopefully I can hear it in the Next week when we're done.

Oh. As far as better for Sealed, Small sealed, Vented depends on the Speaker. Thiel-Small Parameters determine this. They are the Measurement of the Speakers Electrical and Mechanical Properties.

Go for what the MAnufacture recommends. If they are ment for Small Enclosures they should do great. If they just work, then the Bass will be a little bit puncher around the 50hz range. Almost like the 5750 RPM for Hp to over take Tq.

The Kickers will probaby loose a hair of lower end extension, but probably not the amount you can hear. Can't really go wrong with kicker Products. I still have my R32 tweeters for years ago. They are still great sounding.
