Default PAC Sensor Location?

I'm sure this question has been asked 100s of times, but I can't for the life of me find a good answer! Got a new screen, got a PAC and it's all wired. Just gotta find the best place for the sensor. What's the best place to mount it?

Which sensor? For an alarm?

PAC makes lots of stuff.

What are you trying to wire up? Can't tell by what you posted.

<<EDIT>>OK. I just found another post about this camera here. Is this what you are talking about?

What PAC sensor is it?

Sorry for the confusion. I have the PAC adapter so I can use my steering wheel controls with my aftermarket headunit. I'm trying to find the best place to put the "eye".

I've seen 'em put in the headliner between the T-tops (if applicable) as well as just in front of the shifter. It all depends on how creative and talented you are or want to be. Obviously, you don't want a location that would ever be blocked by anything.

T-tops is not a bad idea!

On a side note, wonder if it'd help if I upped the IR sensor to a 5mm. I have some really nice LED holders that would look good if so and maybe even the sensor would have a wider angle so it'd work better...

My husband drilled a 3/16" hole in the lower right hand side of the center panel, and it picks up the signal just fine. Here's a close-up view (sorry so fuzzy). The LED sensor is the little dot directly to the lower right of the head unit.

Another shot further away. The sensor is virtually unnoticable.

I have also seen it mounted in the cupholder. Can't find the pic though.
