Default $300-600 installed, what is the baddest alarm system out there

my brother has an 2004 dodge ram 1500 4 dr. his stock wheels got stolen and now he has some badass 22's on it and he doesnt want them to be taken easily again. he is also getting stereo and dvd and all the interior goodies as well

looking for something that has door sensors, shock sensors, window sensors, motion detector, pager display (where it tells you what is happening where), and all the other nicknacks

ive heard of something called a leveling sensor where in can tell if your vehicle is being jacked up, anyone know anything about this

anyways thanks for the help in advance

Thumbs up

1) Viper 791 XV 2 WAY ALARM SYSTEM With Remote START

2) Viper 5000 2 WAY ALARM SYSTEM [ no Remote Start ]

Picture of the remote for both those systems:

Those two have all the features you're brother will need, and then some

You can add the DEI 508D to either of those alarms. It's a "motion" sensor. It uses RF I believe, and acts like radar. It's kind of a pain in the ***, and the alarm will always go off for no reason. As for the tilt and motion, dei makes the 507T, which is a tilt motion sensor. Just google either of the part numbers and you'll find them. Don't pay more than 40 bucks for either of them, they can be had for under 40, probably shipped if you look hard enough. I know cost on the 508D is right under 30. Hopefully that helps you some.

And you can find the alarms on Ebay for $200 instead of $500 at a shop.

Ebay is always much cheaper.... but I doubt he's looking to do the install himself. And most installer's wil not install an alarm that wasn't purchased through them. Real picky on alarms... not so much audio gear... but alarms they're usually a d!ck about. Keep in mind that if you install it yourself or have it installed by an unauthorized installer, you will not be covered under the company's insurance policy that is no doubt included with an alarm of that price range.

Also, the baddest alarm system out there is a tad out of your price range. Expect to pay over $1k installed.

i can install it, he probably cant (we are 600 miles apart)

does the 507T act as the same style motion sensor as the 508D, should he just get the 507T or get both

also where are the best places to get these only if i do install them (besides ebay)

last question, if i dont install them and he gets them done in miami, you thinkhe could get out the door at a local retailer with the alarm, tilit, and motion sensor for $600

thanks

!!!!! !!!!!!!

KEEP THIS IN MIND! Spend the extra hundred and have it install by an authorized dealer! Sounds like he has lots of money already tied up in his ride... what's a couple extra bucks for insurance that it will be replaced if stolen? No brainer to me....

I have the Viper 791 XV 2 WAY ALARM SYSTEM With Remote START and it is one of the best mods I've had done to my car. Not only does it add peace of mind, the remote start is extremely functional on a hot summer day when you do not want to step into a brick oven. At Best Buy they retail for 499 for just the unit. After install and customization from the installers, the bill tallied up to $1300 with door locks installed. Lucky for me, I'm one of Best Buys finest employees so I got a little discount. Definetly worth the investment.

The Motion Detector is a piece of crap. I had two other employees have it installed in their cars and it caused nothing but trouble. It would set the alarm off when it rained, or when somebody just walked next to your car.....Just doesnt seem right when your spouse or parent leaves earlier then you in the morning, they set the alarm off everytime. Just stick with the alarm w/ two way paging. Ontop, claim it on your insurance, should be good for a discount.

yeah the general option is screw the motion detector

what about the tilt sensor. if his stock wheels got jacked, you think this may help save the 22's

I got a mercury sensor installed on my hood which will trigger the alarm when the hood is popped even so slightly. I havent tried it but I am sure when somebody attempts to jack my stock rims it will go off. The sensitivity can be adjusted from **** to regular as well. dollar for dollar worth the money.
