Default LED interior question

i just finished my LED dome light with thirty 40,000mcd white LEDs. i'm having a problem though i dont know if it is a common problem, the dome light works and is bright as hell but it doesnt turn off ever, it seems like it might be getting dimmer when it is turned off but it stays on.

Did you put a resistor on it?

yeah, its set up like:

10 banks (split into 2 groups, each group of banks is wired in parallel)
each bank consists of 3 LEDs wired in series
2 15 ohm resistors (1 for each group of LEDs)

ends up being 15 LEDs per resistor, i used all the calculators to determine the right resistors to use and how to arrange the LEDs. my setup is pretty much exactly the same as on here

except for 6 more LEDs and they are brighter. i figured as long as they were arranged correctly they would work.

i dont know what to tell me either.

do you think maybe it matters if the resistors have different wattage values? i used 1/2 watt resistors just because thats all radioshack had.

could you please elaborate on this? it doesnt make that much sense to me so you mean it stays on 24/7 or only when the car is on it constantly stays on?

well when i plug it up, its on, when i close the doors and the rest of the lights go off, it is still on. it remained on for a few minutes until i just took it back out. even after i hit the arm button on the keyfob it remained on, the mirror lights (map lights) turned off, but the cargo light remains on.

oh weird! and this didnt happen before the mod? If i remember, there are only two wires going to the dome (+ and - )... I cant imagine any possible ways that messing with those two wires would leave the thing on. so my guess is to wait to see what whitebird00 has to say about this
