Is this head unit anygood?
The guy at best buy told me * chuckles at believing these clowns * that the brand *dual* isnt bad at all. For what you get in this, youd have to spend twice as much to get out of a more known brand. It has two rca preputs * imputs, preputs, somthing that allows you to push two amps * and the I cable for hooking up a ipod directly to it, and is xm ready. Its also very neat looking. They want 160 for it at BB, free intall, and about 50 bucks for the plastic dash piece, wireing harness, and a adaptor for my ant b/c I have a gm????? Seem like a good deal? May take the TA down there and have it installed if you guys give me the go ahead.
yes there are 1000's of other better ones, i bought mine when the company 1st came out.. had it for 2 years without a problem..

I am all for giving the little guy a chance, but I don't like being the guinea pig either, especially when it comes to car stereo stuff. What's the rest of your system look like? If it's all stock or mostly stock, then that thing might just be an upgrade, especially since it can play MP3's, but otherwise, I'd go for a better known brand.

There are other internet vendors that will have better prices on the deck alone... but when you are shopping for a very inexpensive deck ($150 or less), Crutchfield becomes very competetive because of the free dash kit and wiring.
You might get that deck for $75 or $100 off ebay... but then you have...
- sketchy at best warranty support
- a radio with a good feature set but questionable reliability
For the $50 or so you might save vs. going with a known vendor and decent brand name... is it really worth it?
