Alright, this girl I am talking to is wanting a remote start for her ride. I want to know what is a quality, yet not rediculas priced one to get. I have seen em all different prices and places. What do you fellas have or recommend. Doesn't have to be fancy, just not a POS. Thanks in advance.

Bulldog Security has a few different kinds. You can find some on their website, more on ebay.
Haven't heard anything bad about them.
I have used a couple of their older (RS 102) models a few years ago on mine and some friends' vehicles and worked just fine. I think I paid around $50.
I just bought a couple of the RS 1100E remote starters for my winter beater(s). You can find them for under $100. You can even get one of the "t-Harnesses" so that you don't have to splice all of the wires. Just plug the harness in-between the starter module and the factory harness.
I haven't installed mine yet, but it looks painless.
Make sure you read the wiring info on the bulldog website to see if you need any special security bypass modules or extra relays.

I had an avital 3200 on a previous vehicle, great distance with the extra antenna I would reccomend one with this as i could start the car in the parking lot from my 14th floor office.

considering that 95% of alarms are made by the same manufacturer, im going to say that you are not going to see a diff in quality, just features. DEI makes just about EVERything for alarms
