Eclipse Head Unit Online??
nice head unit, loved the preout voltage but beyond that it was lacking. moved up to the avn 5495 which is excellent except the preout voltage is low and you'll need a booster.
overall quality of the eclipse brand is oem, however they aren't all that's cracked up to be. i'd look elsewhere personally and when it comes to price just shop ebay and then go to a local store. if you buy online for dirtcheap you won't get a warranty. if that isn't a big deal to you then definately go ebay.

I got my 8445 brand new on Ebay for about half the price you would pay for it in a regular car audio store. Could care less about the warranty at that price.... if it breaks I'll just buy another one if I cant fix it.
About them being OEM quality.... not even. These far surpass anything Alpine came out with this year with their glidetech junk. If you havent already, look for reviews on the 8455/8445 and compare them to other brand's models.

I think they are way better than oem. One of the things I really like about it is the built in EQ. To buy a decent preamp EQ that is similar would be $100 easy, so I am factoring that in also. I would have to see the gos unit for it at work to see if I like it, but I highly doubt I would.

as far as buying cheap most of the stores selling them that cheap are refurbished or stolen. your saving a buck while supporting the cause so i hear you. if it works for you why not right? myself if i'm spending $2,000+ on a head unit i want the 3 year warranty.
