depends on how much you want to spend. It usually boils down to the Valentine 1 or passport 8500 x50 or rx65 pro. Can't go wrong with either but this subject has been beaten to death try a search for more info.

I just went and priced a passport SR7 setup for the C6.

ready for this......$1,750 out the door. (dealer installation required)

here's a link if you wanna check it out: SR7

the system consists of remote sensors, front and rear, and jams laser. it is basically the passport 8500x50, remotely installed (in dash), and defeats laser, which is the lawless street-commando's biggest threat these days.

I'm currently sporting the passport 8500x50 which has saved my hiney more than enough times to offset the price, $325 if my memory serves me correctly.

I'm seeing more and more laser out on the highways. and once the detector let's you know you're getting hit with laser, you're already busted if you're speeding.

so it looks like some sort of laser-whacking system is in order if I'm to continue being a menace to the highways, which is my mission in life.

here's a link everyone should check out when considering a radar detector. it gives you the straight poop on all popular models, what works and what doesn't. from $99 to $2,999.

The question is how "well" does it jam laser. For the price, it better work flawlessly.

It is supposably about as good as the Shifter ZR3, which actually does very well. But, definitely not flawless.

If you want something that works flawlessly against laser, there is a new unit out called the Laser Defender. We tested a prototype back in August (the AL6) and it blew away all of the competition, except with one laser gun. Word has it that that they've fixed the issue with the LTI, and that they'll be releasing the jammer in the US in the next couple of months. Assuming it works as well as their prototype did, it will be the best out there.

For more info check the liinks in my sig.

i used to have a passport 8500 and loved it, but once i got my V1, i wouldnt use any other one. the arrows help out alot and so does the bogey counter.
the passport was well worth the money though, but the V1 picks up stuff farther away.

If you believe that, I've got some land I'd love to sell you (when the tide goes out).

This is a subject that has been beaten to death as well but RADAR JAMMERS DON'T WORK! and even if they did they would be illegal to make, sell, or use under federal law since they would have to transmit in the microwave frequency range which is controlled by the FCC.

Laser jammers are a different thing. Since they use light rather than radio waves they aren't restricted by federal law (although a couple of states have made them illegal). They can be very effective when properly designed, installed, and used. In other words, don't go blasting by a cop just because you have laser jamming - the jamming is only effective at a certain distance and once you get close enough they will still get a reading.
