new subs/amp/hu problem
i got everything in, head unit works great, the 4 new alpine speakers sound great as well, however my amp lights up but the subs are not being powered.
everything seems good with the wiring, even the ground seems to be good. just no power to the subs.
im trying to trouble shoot this to see what the problem but i dunno where to start.
everything is brand spanking new, just a few days old.
any input, opinions, or ideas would be very appreciated.

yeah i gotcha on that one but i dont have the monsoon system anymore. its all new stuff wired directly to my head unit.
where i have the rcas from my head unit it reads "INPUT" in big letters so ik now thats in the right spot. ill check the gain but i remember fiddling with that to see if that was the issue and didn't get anything. im gonna go pick up some new rca cables to see if that will help.
Thanks fellas

the metal was sanded down for the ground and i used a self tapping screw for it. and its solid. the light on the amp never flickers its always on once the car is on and the head unit is.
i have already tried changing the wiring to the subs and it changed nothing. the gain didnt hchange anything so im gonna try the rcas. after that i think ill try the amp. the head unit works so well with the other speakers i just dont forsee how it could be the head unit

2 - go through the radios menus and see if u have to turn on the sub option for the rca's to work...some radios have that not sure if yours does.
3- i am not be littling u but make sure the subs are conected in the box, sometimes u overlook stupid thing...u know.
oh and do the 2nd thing i wrote first since it is the easiest.

yup u were right. i replaced the wiring kit (free of charge by the local shop) and that didnt change anything, i left kind of ready to give up and just take all the stuff back.
on my break at work today i ran out and just looked through the menus and figured out that i did have to select to turn on the subwoofer outputs. turned it on and no sooner did i do that and the mirrors were shaking.
i just gotta do some fine tuning now, but thanks for all the help everyone!
