That stuff will do most people just fine. Just don't expect to have crystal clear mids-highs and extremely tight bass response. I think the great majority of people would be just fine with the stuff offered there.

PM me and I'll give you a website that sells things cheap. It's a factory outlet.

If you search around on the net you can find things for good prices. Especially stuff that's last years model and is left in-stock at some of the bigger online retailers.
Actually, SoundDomain throws a bunch of specials up on stuff...you just gotta watch and catch them.

I bought **** from walmart for my Geo.. sounds alright.. better than nothing at all.. however when I hop in my SS and turn on the factory monsoon system there is a noticable diffrance..

If you need something cheap to get you by Wal-mart is alright.

PM's sent ! For example this (which I just saw in a local store for $450):

is $240. Similar price to ebay but with the warranty and customer service. There are a LOT of places like this on the web.

Just search for: Dual XDV8125 (the above radio) in Google and most places will be outlets that will have inat that price and other things cheaper (actually the first site that popped up for me is the one I sent you, it's also top of Bizrate's list).

The place I PM'd about is where I got my Jensen in-dash DVD/TV Tuner/AM FM/CD Player for $500 when it was $800 from Best Buy. Here it is:

They are about 20 minutes north of me so I just went and picked it up. Ended up buying a Boss amp as well...

Extremely nice people, SMALL office with a HUGE warehouse of stuff...

Again, just letting you know there are MANY reputable places online you can get things from that are factory outlets and not have to pay the prices charged by local places.

Ya definatly shop around. And around this time is when all the new models come out so stop by circuit citys and tweeters, they usually reduce last years stuff a good amount because they need to get rid of it.

Also if you plan to have a store install the radio make sure you buy a radio from a place that offers free install. When I was working at circuit city we had a walmart next to us. All these cheepo's would buy radios and then come in and have us do the install, it would actually cost them almost double since they had to pay for labor and would not recive package deals for the parts. So they would save $40 on the radio, but end up paying $100+ for parts and labor.

Get what you want from there, but I'm warning you. Pioneer and sony speakers they have are ****. From the smallest up to the 6x9's that is. I have a VR3 4 channel amp and a 10" Lightning audio sub from wally world and there both pretty decent.

You could have bought a used but perfect Pioneer cd/mp3 player for that kind of money. I just sold one for $77.00 (with shipping)on ebay that sells for $119.00 at Walmart. Theres a guy on ebay that sells Pioneer HU's with a warantee for cheaper or as cheap as a wholesaler. PM me if your interested. I just got a Pioneer DEH 7700mp from him for $160.00.Sells at Walmart for $254.00. That unit is exactly like the Premier model DEH770. PM me if you want help finding stuff for the cheap. Just my two cents on this but used quality electronics are better than cheaply made new electronics anyday!! I'd buy a used Pioneer, Clarion, Kenwood, etc. off ebay before I'd go spend $80.00 on a new Boss, Pyramid, Dual, Lanzar, etc. Same price...way better equipment. Good luck!!!!

with car audio, you really get what you pay for.

as far as ebay, u can get new stuff on there pretty cheap, not just used stuff. that's been the best way for me in the past
