My brother has a passport 8500 x50 or whatever, his seems to be alil better at detecting than my 980 ... so if I had to get another one, I'd probly get it.
As per the V1 - I dont' care where the cop is, I just wanna know when one is around lol
I bought a 8500 X50 for my Camaro and a V1 for the T/A. After driving the two and getting used to both of them I prefer the V1 over the X50. I liked the V1 sooo much I bought another one for my Camaro.
You can track more targets with the V1 (tells you with a numbered display) and the arrows point in the directions of the target(s).
So go with the V1, you won't be sorry!
Peace,
Craig.
If you want a real laser jammer (also called a shifter, btw: this only keeps the lazer signal off you for a few seconds) then you have to spend at least a few hundred bucks with one of several companies. Check out what the guys with lambos, ferraris, //M series bimmers and other high end cars use those are pretty much the only lazer jammers out there that work (other than the ZR3)

K40 is also the maker of the bluetooth radar and laser cloaking (Calibre). I haven't used it but the system carries a lifetime guarantee from any radar or laser speeding tickets. I know a few dealerships are selling the systems on new vettes and other faster cars. I read somewhere that it comes on all new ferari's, but I can't remember where so that might be wrong.
detects Ka and everything really far away, not bad on false alarms, and I got it for 150 when it was new and one of the best. still working good. (no laser here in ALABAMA)
