I am sick and tired of my slow A@# windows!!! I've replaced the motors a few times but I just want them to go up and down quickly like all other cars. Anyone upgraded there motors or have any ideas? I want to do window automation on my alarm and don't want it to take forever for them to go up Thanks.

You can bypass the thermal regulator built into the motor. This will cause your motor to fly but getting around the thermal protection has it's own risks.

why can't we just have power window motors like ford's. my friends 91 stang and another buddies 87 F-150 both with original window motors still move twice as fast a my 2 month window motor does in my T/A.

My windows have worked great since new, but I always use a silicone lubricant in the triangle piece next to the side mirror and instantly you can see a speed increase. With the Fords, they are pretty fast, but they break all the time too.... on very cold days, 1 time hitting the button and something breaks. Back when I had mid 90's Mustangs, I had the windows fixed under warranty 3 times in 3 years and car had less than 30k miles on it when I traded it in.

I suppose the reason you created this thread is because of the infamous slow motor in these cars. A siemens will fix it where it is back to the same speed your window was when the car was new.

I only have about 40k miles, but the windows are used alot in the summer and at the track(sometimes 20+ times a hour). Anytime I see the windows slow a little or slightly hang I clean the guide and spray some silicone and all is good again. When I first bought the Z28 with 1,500 miles the passenger window would go slower and hang a little, that is when I started using the silicone.

I like your avatar rotwiler... I love the breed, they are great dogs.
Back on topic, when I insulated my doors, I adjusted the tab that presses against the window and lubricated the gears / sliders with white lithium grease and that has seemed to help a great deal with the speed of the windows.

When the window goes up and down it slides through the triangle shaped piece on the door, I used a lubricant in the slot and let the window go up and down a few times and put a little more in. When it gets dirty in there, the window catches and slows down or goes up uneven.
